Robotics training and exhibition with Mikrobot Academy
30 September 2026
On Wednesday 30th September 2026, the Ayawaso Central Constituency held a one-day hands-on Robotics Training Programme and exhibition at the One Million Coders Program Centre, Abavana Down Basic School, Kotobabi, Accra, from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
The session, part of the Community Robotics & STEM Initiative, was supported by Hon. Abdul Rauf Tongym Tubazu, MP for Ayawaso Central, in partnership with Mikrobot Academy, who provided the trainers and robotics kits. It builds on the One Million Coders initiative to push STEM learning such as robotics in the constituency.
Under the theme "See it. Build it. Experience it.", participants received hands-on robotics training — building and programming robots — alongside problem-solving and critical-thinking challenges and wider STEM learning across science, technology, engineering and maths. The programme was open to everyone: students, young people, professionals, parents, educators and anyone interested in technology.
